The African Union calls for avoiding isolation in the fight against Ebola
The African Union (AU) has called on West African countries to address the Ebola outbreak in a way that does not cause isolation or stigmatization of victims or countries.
Speaking at an emergency meeting in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, AU Chairperson Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma said the organization must come up with a comprehensive response to attack the biggest outbreak of this deadly virus.
The charity Doctors Without Borders has criticized lockdown plans in some countries, including Sierra Leone, saying it could force those affected into hiding.
